Poem: "Unsung Heroes"

resource: Poem: "Unsung Heroes"

Unsung Heroes
You need somebody... someone else needs you
Wipe away that tear
And say no to fear
Invited or uninvited, come let's cheer
Because, you are never alone

Once, we chanted: " I would be a lawyer "
Modern society blindfolded my vision and branded me a liar
In my quest for joy
I am married to a toy
When they want not call us bad
We are the " ungood "
When the work is done: they do not commend
Echoes behind me rather command
I race not for prizes... but my dignity restored
Being a globetrotter of ridicule in my countless wanderings
I ask: " why oh, why? "

Authorities of today, when you are signing your treaties ... do you have us in mind?
I look forward to you, who will build a sanctuary for the disadvantage
Someone who will nourish our fate
Because, I smell that freedom today!
The freedom that release my unsung sweet melodies from mental slavery
I am an unsung hero.

I am addicted to writing and giving a voice to the underprivileged in our human society.
I believe the little faces and needy are the future leaders in Africa.
What is your bit in your own way?
"Don't wait for the world to change... take charge NOW!"

Mama Tess, God bless you for your vision!
We are all proud of what a woman can do...

I can't wait to see the birth of the new Your Voice-Your Choice Radio Show in Ghana.
It is my hope and prayer, this should see the light of the day ASAP!
