Smiles
A smile: our faces freely give
A cure for the soul that must live
Amusement; friendliness and pleasure
Bridge ties sure
Why give us that artificial smile
Even, forge that counterfeit smile
Or, replace thy love for a cupboard smile
And then, cloud thy faces with a professional smile
A real smile scare sorrow
A rare smile coin gain
A refreshing smile pierce thru the shadow of darkness
A reliable smile melt grieve
And escorts home shame
And candid smiles will live their name.
